Supply + installation / Sydney

THE STAIR.
THE SITE.
THE COMPLETE SCOPE.

Supply and installation belong in the same project conversation. Define what is needed, how it fits and how the work will come together.

01 / Supply

Define the stair.

Bring the required stair configuration and finish into a clear supply brief.

  • Stair arrangement and connection levels
  • Materials, tread and finish preferences
  • Landings, handrails and interface requirements
  • Delivery and site access information

02 / Installation

Define the site work.

Establish the installation requirements in the context of the actual site.

  • Existing conditions and surrounding structure
  • Access and working-space constraints
  • Coordination with other site activities
  • Proposed sequencing and timing

A useful planning sequence

Four stages.
One considered brief.

Use these stages to prepare the project discussion. Final scope and responsibilities are agreed for each job.

  1. 01

    Share the brief

Application, site location, initial drawings and proposed timing.

  2. 02

    Review the details

Levels, layouts, interfaces and project-specific requirements.

  3. 03

    Confirm the supply

Configuration, finish, inclusions and delivery arrangements.

  4. 04

    Plan installation

Access, site readiness, sequencing and agreed installation scope.

Project-specific requirements

Details matter
on a working site.

Dimensions, loading, handrails, accessibility and any egress role need to be considered for the particular project.

The reference images on this website are discussion material. They do not establish a final design or demonstrate certification for a particular use.

Confirm for your project

Agree the evidence.
Alongside the scope.

Use these checkpoints to discuss the records needed, who prepares them and what is included. They are planning prompts, not a promise of certification or an agreed handover package.

Design basis + loads

Record the intended use, applicable requirements, nominated load schedule and responsibility for confirming the design criteria.

Relevant engineering

Confirm the required drawings, calculations or reports, their project scope and the connections and anchorage they address.

Materials + tread information

Identify relevant material, fabrication, coating and tread-performance information for the specified product and operating conditions.

Site inspection + as-built records

Agree installation checks, recording of changes, as-built information and maintenance and warranty terms before handover.

Evidence must relate to the actual product, intended use and any limitations. A generic certificate alone does not establish the suitability of an installed stair. Reference: ABCB evidence of suitability handbook (PDF).
